The Process

Introduction

Case Study: Ongoing implementation of ‘value’ initiatives

The "Value" Concept

  • Structuring an organisation's goals, to ensure that the corporation maximises shareholder value.
  • Provides consistency and corporate mission, strategy, culture and systems
  • Creates a framework for measuring the true cost and benefits of business decisions.

Need

To enable all decision makers to be able to understand the value concept and apply it in the workplace

Solution

The development of a part bespoke, part generic solution to provide ongoing skills, knowledge and motivation to a diverse audience

The total solution has 5 discrete elements:

1 Foundation Knowledge and Skills - e-learning and text
2 Practical workshop - local 1 day events
3 Workshop consolidation & workplace application - e-learning
and text supported by remote mentor intervention
4 Workgroup presentation & feedback - supported by remote mentor
5 Incorporation of presentation & feedback into the foundation knowledge and skills element

"e-learning or online learning is just another delivery and administration mechanism for helping individuals to understand or 'make sense of'. It can have many different elements which combine to enable learners to achieve objectives. Perhaps it is better referred to as ME-Learning. However, like all learning, it requires significant initial investment in the learning design - identifying what the learner needs to learn, or 'makes sense of' and describing how best to present that to the learner. With a wealth of public domain information on the internet, in a number of areas it is no longer necessary to create new content!"
